Select Vegan uses a blend of two high quality sources of plant-based proteins. Protein sources that have been clinically tested in humans for their effects on muscle building were selected for production. Weak estrogenic proteins such as soy were avoided here.

Pea protein
When it comes to a functional vegan protein, pea protein has become one of the most popular sources. When high quality sources are used, such as Select, it has a mild taste and texture. It also has one of the amino acid profiles that is closest to that of milk and egg proteins.

Brown rice protein
Rice protein is the truest companion of pea protein. Where the amino acid profile of pea protein is weakest, the profile of rice protein is strongest. By combining these two protein sources, an amino acid profile can be achieved that is almost identical to that of milk or egg protein.
